![]() ![]() Old County Inn: Small town pizza restaurant and it’s delicious!! If you go on the weekend prepare for a wait, but it should be too bad because they have patio games and even live music. ![]() They also have a fun little porch that we love sitting on while we eat our ice cream. Pine Creek Fudge Ice Cream and Espresso: We’ve only ever had their ice cream but their fudge looks delicious. Their employees are the nicest and your meal is served super quick! Their french toast is delicious and so are their biscuits and gravy. One thing to note about Strawberry and Pine is that their shops and stores close early so plan ahead.Įarly Bird Cafe: They serve breakfast and lunch and we love them both. You can hike down the trail to see the Natural Bridge, just be careful because it’s slippery and a little tricky with kids. You’re surrounded by mountains and beautiful pine trees while you’re down in this valley of sorts. Tonto Natural Bridge: It’s located a few minutes south of Pine but worth the drive to get there. The views are incredible and if you find the right rock you can even go out and stand on the edge of everything. Mogollon Rim: Another breathtaking spot you won’t want to miss. It’s a quarter-mile walk from the parking area to the pond, but it’s fun to get out and stretch your legs, especially if the weather is nice. If you’re lucky you might find a snake or some dragonflies, and you could even spot a deer (or the stuff they leave behind-haha!). Potato Lake: A small little pond that we just like to skip rocks in. There are lavender plants in the field and other lavender products for purchase inside their store. The Lavender Farm: As soon as you step out of the car your nose can’t smell anything but lavender. ![]() We love Baker Butte Lookout because you can climb up to the top of the watchtower and see for miles! It’s breathtakingly beautiful -but hopefully, you aren’t afraid of heights because it’s quite a ways up. I am not kidding, they cover rocks, branches, leaves, you name it. If you book a room before October 31st you can use my code DAWSON for 10% off!īaker Butte Lookout: If you go during the right time of year (July-September) you’ll find rock covered ladybugs. I really like the Strawberry Inn because I know it’s taken care of, it’s clean, it has a fun outside place for my girls to play, and their prices are amazing! If you’re headed up from the valley and looking to stay somewhere you’ll want to stay here. Our favorite little hometown Inn recently renovated and perfectly located between the forest and Pine. Here are some of our favorite things to do there, including our favorite places to eat. We’ve headed up to Strawberry a few times within the past couple years and I think we’ve perfected making the most of our time there. Tucked away in the mountains almost two hours away from Phoenix, but it’s well worth the drive. Strawberry has been one of our favorite places as of late. There’s just something about the feel of it, it’s easy-going, quiet, and always has the best places to eat. Small towns have become something we’ve really been loving lately. ![]()
